[Keito’s POV]
I walked into the cafe to meet a seller, you whom I did not notice at first, greeted me when you saw me. I smiled back, the least I could do.
The seller however, turned out to be an accomplice of yours. Which was a great discovery. Which meant I could join in without being awkward. We took quite long deciding on the items to what I should get. It was the first time we had a proper conversation. You told me on how I kept spending money this month and how you can’t afford anything else. Yet you just splurge on some expensive bitter coffee that you hated. You also ended up paying one of my items for me because I didn’t had any small change with me.
Once decided, the seller had to leave, which means only the two of us were left in the cafe. Things got awkward for no reason. Silence fell upon us in an instance. You ended up playing with your phone and I did the same.
Dance rehearsal starts in an hour or so. I can’t just leave you alone but I had to. Packing my bag, I told you I’d meet you later since you won’t be coming so early for rehearsals. However upon leaving the cafe, I went straight to the CD shop and bought some albums so I could stay up tonight. Lost track of time, I rushed down to take the train to dance rehearsals.
Not everyone has reached. We started dancing Magic Power then Arigatou. I still waited for you to arrived. You came with Yamada. Silently, you blended in the background and went to sit at the corner of the room. Slowly closing your eyes, you fell asleep. The rest continued dancing. Of course, you didn’t realise how I kept making short glances at you as I danced. Hoping sure you would be alright.
Two hours passed. Clearly, my body clock hasn’t been working well for the past few weeks. Sleeping late, waking up early, no clocks, no watches, I lose track of time easily. Then you woke up. You looked at me with red eyes, fresh awaken eyes. With your instantly gotten flu. You got me worried even more. Then I remembered how you helped me pay for my item. Such a small act of kindness, I could have borrowed you my jacket when you slept. Maybe you wouldn’t have felt cold. The feeling of regret and guilt filled me up. You got my attention even more now.
